It has 11 campuses. According to the equipment quality of the material and technical base, the university is considered to be one of the leading universities in Kazakhstan. The campus covers an area of 227 hectares. 88 hectares of which are set aside for a botanical garden, other 80 hectares for a residential complex of two-story cottages for faculty members, and the rest 59 hectares occupy educational buildings, a sports complex, the Cultural Center with 800 seats and other buildings. The total area of outdoor and indoor sports facilities is over 50 000 sq. m. On the territory of the compound, there is a complex of dorms for 1,500 beds, a living residence complex «Turan» and a student canteen for 400 seats. The university includes a complex of educational buildings and dormitories in the cities of Turkestan, Kentau, Shymkent, an 84-bed three-star hotel «Yassy», an indoor swimming pool.

The Clinical Diagnostic Center (Clinic) was created as a powerful practical base of the university’s medical faculty, a modern progressive institution that fully meets the standards and equipped with modern diagnostic equipment. Currently, the clinic provides high-quality medical services to residents of the city of Turkestan and other regions of the country.
Every year up to 65 thousand people seeking medical attention at the clinic, about 7 thousand undergo inpatient treatment. About 1,500 surgical interventions of increased complexity are performed.
Currently, more than 10000 undergraduates, postgraduate and doctoral students are studying at the university, including about 1,504 thousand students (16% of the contingent) from Turkic-speaking countries of the near and far abroad. For all the years of its work, the university has prepared more than 70 thousand young specialists in the field of higher professional and postgraduate education, including from countries of near and far abroad, who today are successfully working for the good of their homeland.
Student Life in International Kazakh Turkish University
More than 3200 students live at the university dormitories from near and far abroad states. There are following facilities are installed: a kitchen, laundry, computer classes, dining room, rooms for self-study with wireless Internet. Also: libraries, reading rooms, coffee shops, learning halls, etc. Nearby, there are summer sports complexes and football fields, an indoor swimming pool. Security operates 24/7 in the whole territory of campus and accommodation.
This is a coeducational institution where students can find all the essential facilities on the campus. The hostel area is expanded into a wide area and study rooms are provided for students. The library is specially designed so that students can find the necessary books easily.
The campus has 5 outdoor soccer, basketball, volleyball, and tennis sports grounds, and the indoor facilities include 12 indoor boxing, karate, wrestling, basketball, volleyball, football, fitness, and gym. There are dining rooms and buffets in the educational and dormitory buildings.
Ecologically clean drinking water is provided through the 800-meter-deep well on the campus. The campus of the University is landscaped and well-infrastructure, with pedestrian and motorways.
Course Duration & University Affiliation
Comparing to MBBS in India which is a 4.5 years course, in Kazakhstan it is of 5 years. Apart from this difference in duration, the pattern is somewhat similar to the Indian pattern. After completion applicant will be awarded an MBBS degree which is recognized globally.

Admission Criteria for International Kazakh Turkish University
Here are some eligibility criteria that the students have to satisfy for getting MBBS admission. It is very easy for the students to meet up the criteria.
- The age of the candidates must be 17 years or more.
- The candidates must have cleared the 10+2 examination and the student must have an aggregate of at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and must have English as a compulsory subject if the student is from the General category.
- Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) students can apply with the 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology; as per the guidelines by the Medical Council of India (MCI) – now NMC.
- As per the requirements of Kazakhstan universities, the candidates must qualify for NEET-UG (valid for up to 3 years). It is mandatory for the candidates to have a valid passport to study Medicine in Kazakhstan

MBBS In Kazakhstan After NExT Exam
Earlier, students who completed their MBBS studies at International Kazakh Turkish University and want to practice medicine in India had to qualify for the Medical Council of India Screening Test or FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination). However, the screening test is expected to be replaced by the National Exit Test (NExT). NExT will be a common exit exam that would serve as a Licentiate Exam for Indian students, as an entrance test to Post Graduate (PG) medical course and as a screening test of foreign medical graduates. Thus, it will also be a common gateway to attain a license to practice medicine across India.
